Post-Identity: Academic Erasures in the Japanese “Yuri” Genre

Abstract

Anglophone scholarship disproportionately privileges certain discourses in the Japanese literary genre termed yuri. I write of these biases, as well as an unprecedented comprehensive queer-theory account on the state of the yuri genre including trends, frameworks, and rehearsive implications.
