Abstract

As humans, we rely on our cognitive abilities to thrive, however, the human mind is far from perfect. For decades, researchers have devoted themselves to uncovering the mysteries of the brain and developing strategies and theories to enhance our cognitive abilities. This paper will explore recent developments in the field of psychology that uncover answers to questions surrounding mindset priming, how we work with others and how we can improve our collaborative abilities. Additionally, his paper will shed light on how possessing a growth mindset can aid and improve a number of our skills including emotional intelligence, stress coping and cognitive plasticity. It will discuss how we can improve our abilities to possess a growth mindset, and how mindsets can be primed in people to influence productivity and improve overall efficiency when performing collaborative work. Finally, this paper will discuss real world examples of where mindset priming can be applied and why these applications are effective from a psychological standpoint.
