Abstract
Chapter 1 introduces the argument established and orients the gap being addressed, being that of why specifically choosing alcohol is different from other goods. Chapter 2 is what situates the historical and legal context of this foundation that makes America targeting European countries possible in the first place. In Chapter 3, the argument is drawn into international political economics theory and puts the convergence of properties into a perspective that transforms alcohol into a mechanism for greater political interests. Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 test the logic through a real-world example and present the findings in its broader implications before leading into the conclusion in Chapter 6.
